In event of moon disaster: the tragic fate of Apollo XX

A solo game made using the Wretched and Alone system SRD based on The Wretched by Chris Bissette. Proof of concept version made for the Below a Bad Moon Jam in March 2025.

It is the year 19XX, and humans have been to the moon and back several times. The sense of wonder of the accomplishment has worn off much of the general public, and they now regard it as nothing special. Still, your country keeps sending crews to the moon to gather rocks and core samples. So, so many core samples. You are the Command Module Pilot on Apollo XX: charged with keeping the means of return to earth in good order while the rest of the crew conducts their business down on the lunar surface. Here you float in your orbiting space castle, left alone to the labyrinth of thoughts in your mind. Little does anyone know, the moon is fucked up. Soon your friends will drill too far, too deep, and wake something terrible. They cannot be saved. Will you die in the void of space or make it back to earth?
